Your perspective is the only thing that matters.

"It's all about perspective," my Lyft driver said to me tonight, after I got more added to my tattoo.

"Don't feel bad for me," he continued. He had been telling me how he was a widower with three children in their 20s to 30s.

"It's all about perspective," he repeated. "I got to be with a woman I loved for 30 years — who do you think has it worse? Me who loved my wife and never had a bad day with her or people who are married and after a couple of years, fall out of love, or get married young and lose interest and then waste all their youth, or people who are always fighting with each other and their partners are still alive."

I nodded.

"I had it good, real good," he said.

The man was 61 and looked no older than 45. His voice was high pitched in a youthful way. His clothes bright. His attitude cheery.

Everything that we want, we believe we'll feel better in the having of it.

That experience.

That physical thing.

That person.

We believe that we'll feel better when...

When the law of attraction and the power of manifestation is all about FEELING the FEELING NOW, before the acquiring of it, because it's in feeling the feeling of what you want to have that you open the gates to having it.

Brooke Castillo, a $10-million dollar entrepreneur & life coach, recently shared on Jess Lively's podcast, "It's true. And you really don't get this until you experience it, but feeling the feeling of the thing you want means that when the thing you actually want manifests in physical form, you're kind of like, 'Oh yeah, there it is,' and it's not as exciting as you think, because you've already been feeling the feeling all along."

She went from believing that $1 million was a stretch to suddenly earning $10 with ease.

Today, when Jules and I were driving to a meeting that came about through serendipity and ease at Outdoorsy, we talked about our gratitudes.

We feel incredibly abundant.

We're so excited for our next adventure.

As lightning struck down around us, we felt grateful for this beautiful show of Nature.

One of the most magnificent experiences that Jules and I share is a thunderstorm that happened on Kauai.

I had woken in the night to pee and when I walked out of his yurt, I immediately turned away to wake him up.

"You have to see this," I whispered to him.

It was the wee hours of the morning, and lightning was striking down amidst a black and purplish sky in the wee hours of the morning.

We went and sat in the living room of the main house, watching through the windows as zig-zag after zig-zag of white light reverberated around us. You could see the Light penetrate clouds. You could see the Light hit one patch of sky and immediately another.

It was the most magnificent act of Nature I've ever seen.

This was right before we decided to have Wilder. And, we joked today that she probably put on the show, so we could we realize how much magic was between us.

It's all about perspective.

Life will always be about perspective.

What's yours?
